Prayer Sermon
Today, I am going to speak with you about prayer.
I have known for several months that I would be speaking with you today. I have also known for several months that the Lord wanted me to share about prayer.
Over the years I have grown in my knowledge about prayer and in my experience with prayer. I’d like to share some of what I have learned with you.
I was brought up in a Christian family who faithfully attended a Methodist Church. I was taught to say my prayers when I went to bed at night and if I was in trouble. I knew God was in heaven and listening.
But something happened when I was a senior in high school. I had a bad case of pneumonia. For months I had great difficulty sleeping. One night as I was having a very restless night, I heard God say to me in my thoughts (NOT AUDIBLE) “I am going to take you home tonight” I knew that I wasn’t dreaming because I could see my bedroom furniture in the shadows of the dark room.
I was immediately at peace. It was a much deeper peace than I have ever known. As I laid there waiting, I remember thinking that this peace was so wonderful. I wondered, “How do I deserve such a wonderful feeling”? People who are in great pain & deep suffering should be receiving this. Not me.”
Then God said, “Okay” and I was out of the extreme peace, BUT into a worldly peace. I felt much better than I had felt for months. I could then go to sleep.
That experience was a turning point in my spiritual life. It was the first time I realized that God speaks to us. We don’t just pray to a God up in heaven. He interacts with us.
I was so excited that God spoke with me. I told my mother in the morning about what had happened. She told me to stop being dramatic.
So, I made an appointment with my pastor, and told him about my experience. He told me that there were Christians who were extreme & believed such things. That did not make sense to me. How could these extremists affect me? I had no connection with them. Then it dawned on me that my mother had called him AND that he had never experienced God. He was a kind, loving man but, he didn’t talk with God. He talked to God.
So, where do I go to find out more. My family didn’t know what I was talking about. My pastor didn’t know what I was talking about. There was definitely more to God than I had been taught. So I was hunting for more from God.
The next year I went off to college. I didn’t find God there. After college Rich and I were married. We attended a Methodist church because that was how we were both brought up. In 1975 at a Methodist church meeting one evening I noticed some women passing books to each other in brown paper lunch bags. The books turned out to be “They speak in Other Tongues” and “The Late Great Planet Earth”. This turned out to be the start of learning about the Holy Spirit, about our wonderful Father, about how much He loves us, and His baptism in the Holy Spirt.
Over the years I have been learning more about prayer. I wanted to learn how to meet with the Father in a more personal manner. I went to the source. The Bible.
Jesus spent lots of time in prayer. The disciples watched His prayer habits. They asked Him to teach them how to pray. I guess that was what I was asking.
Luke 11:1-4
“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.’ “
“So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say:
Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done.
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive out debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power,
And the glory forever. Amen’ “
We had to memorize this prayer in Sunday School. I am grateful for that.
Why did we put these scriptures over our windows and doors? Windows and Doors allow things to enter our home, our lives. By covering our windows and doors with scripture we are dedicating all that enter this sanctuary to our Lord Jesus.
Over the years I have learned about INDIVIDUAL PRAYER.
Matt 6:6
“But you, when you pray, go into your room and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”
God wants to spend time alone with us. He wants an intimate relationship with us. He wants to whisper in our ears. He does not want us to be distracted. He wants our attention.
I have learned about PRAYING WITH OTHERS.
Matt 18:19-20
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
There is power when we pray together. The prayers of others encourage the expression of our own heart. We are inspired to pour out our thoughts in prayers to our Father. One after another we are conversing with the King. We are forming an army of prayer warriors.
“A threefold cord is not easily broken.”
I have learned HOW TO MEET WITH HIM.
Psalm 100:4
“Enter in His gates with thanksgiving And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
To enter His presence, start with thanksgiving and praise. I have made it a practice to begin each prayer with Thanksgiving. He has given us so much. Acknowledge His gifts to us. Acknowledge His blessings on us. Then, recognize His greatness and characteristics. Praise His names and Praise His ways. His presence will follow.
I have learned to PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
What does “pray without ceasing” mean? Over the years of praying I think it means saying little prayers all day long…
like saying “Lord, help me” when things aren’t going well.
OR “Thank You, Lord” when something does go well.
OR “Lord, Bless her” when you see someone in need.
OR “Lord, show me what to do.”
Even “Lord help me find my keys” It works. He is faithful. He cares about even the small stuff.
Praying without ceasing is talking with God about every issue in our lives.
Over the years of this old lady, I’ve been learning more & more about how to pray.
One summer the Lord kept bringing up the topic of intercession. You know how the Lord keeps bringing things to your attention so that you can’t miss what He is saying. I kept hearing people speak about intercession. I saw the topic everywhere I looked and God just whispered into my thoughts. So I got a book about Intercession and then another book on intercession. Then I would put what I learned into practice as I prayed. And I am still reading about Prayer to learn more.
Speaking about books---- In our library downstairs, there are 4 full shelves of books about Prayer. ( I’ve read about half of them. ) You are welcome to borrow any of them at any time.
I have been learning there are many kinds of prayer!
Let’s start with.
Supplication Praying for your needs
John 15:7
“ If you abide in me, and my Words abide in you, you shall ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
As we learn about God from His Word, we learn the will of God. We know that we can pray for the things that are a part of God’s will for us.
1 John 5:14
“This is the confidence we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
It is God’s will for all to be saved. So we can pray for someone’s salvation. It is God’s will for us to be healed. So we should be praying to be healed. It is God’s will for justice and righteousness to prevail. So we should pray for God’s justice to come forth.
Our desires should align with God’s will and His words.
Here are some examples of Prayers of Supplecation.
Please Pray with me.
God, Thank you for always hearing my prayers.
Father, Teach me your ways.
Lord, Let me hear your heart.
God, guide me each day.
Help me be what you have called me to be.
Build my faith, Lord.
Help me to love others as you love others.
Give me a generous heart, Father.
Walk with me through difficult times and situations.
Father, heal me.
I give you praise and glory for you are worthy
Amen
Thanksgiving Praying with a grateful heart
Psalms 107:1
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
2 Chronicles 20:21
“Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
In 2018 I read a book about being thankful. The book is One Thousand Gifts, by Ann Voskamp. She started writing down things that she was thankful for each day in an effort to get her thoughts off of her problems. She believed that if the things she was thankful for were gifts from God, then if she wrote down those things wasn’t she really receiving the gifts. She discovered that the practice of giving thanks is the way we practice the presence of God.
Remember:
“ We enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise “ . She challenged the readers to start a gratitude journal and to try to find 1,000 things for which we were thankful. I took the challenge. It took me about a year to reach the 1,000 mark. But that year really helped my heart to come closer to my God. He is the one who provides all the things for which I am grateful. I encourage you to take the challenge. Grab a small notebook and start today.
So how do we get close to God?
Start with giving Him thanks.
Thanksgiving always precedes the miracle. Let me say that again…. Thanksgiving always precedes the miracle.
Here are some examples of prayers of Thanksgiving.
Will you Pray with me again.
Father, I thank you for loving me.
Lord, Thank you for a place to sleep, for food to eat and water to drink.
Father, thank you for my family.
Thank you for my health.
Thank you for your faithfulness, your kindness, and your protection.
Thank you for hearing my every prayer and caring for my thoughts.
Thank you, Lord, for bringing my friend into my life.
God, thank you for the gifts you have given me to help me serve your people.
God, thank you for never leaving or forsaking me.
Thank you for who you are, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The Prince of Peace
Amen
Intercession Praying for the needs of others
“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
Galatians 6:2
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
One summer the Lord kept bringing up the topic of intercession. You know how the Lord keeps bringing things to your attention so that you can’t miss what He is saying. I kept hearing people speak about intercession. It was on the radio and God kept whispering into my thoughts. So I got a book on intercession and then another book on intercession. He wanted to teach me how to pray for others.
Are your eyes on the people around you?
Is your heart aching for those in need?
Are you loving one another?
Are you blessing your family and neighbors?
Here are some examples of Intercessory prayer. Won’t you Pray with me.
Father, Thank You for those who are around me.
Give me a heart to pray for others.
Lord, protect our children. Teach them and keep them safe.
Father, heal our friends who are suffering.
Lord, provide for those in need.
God, guide our leaders in your ways and your plans.
Cover our loved ones with your protection and bring those who don’t know you to salvation.
Lord, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Help the Jewish people find their Deliverer.
Holy Spirit, be with the missionaries across the world. They are doing your work. Carrying you to the edges of the Earth. Protect them. Anoint their words and work.
We praise You for all You do.
AMEN
There are prayers of
Surrender Offering all you have to God
James 4:7
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
My journey in prayer keeps leading me to the place of surrender. Giving Him all that I worry about allows His peace to enter my life. This process is progressive. God leads me to surrender my vanity, then He leads me to surrender my family, and another time He leads me to surrender my finances, or my health needs, or my self- image, or my heart’s desires.
Once I have surrendered something, then the devil can no longer bother me about that subject. Satan tries … but I just surrender the problem again. God’s peace begins to settle in my heart. He is in control… I don’t have to be..
This is an ongoing process. Each time I think I have surrendered all, God slowly brings forth something else for me to give to him. I am slowly getting closer to His image.
Here are some example of prayers of surrender.
Pray with me.
Thank You, Lord, for calling me.
Father God, I give you my heart.
God, I confess my sin and ask you to take it away.
Lord, I surrender my personal desires. Let my desires be your desires for me.
I give you my family and friends. Move in their lives, Lord.
Father, I surrender my moods and ill tempers. Replace them with the joy of your friendship.
Father, I give you my grievances. I surrender my hurts. Take them, I don’t want them. Let me forgive.
Lord, I lay down my battles. You are my defender.
God, bring me to a point of total surrender to your will.
I praise your name, Almighty God.
Amen
There are prayers of
Intimacy Spending time in a very close personal relationship
Matthew 22:37
“Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ”
God loves to hold us close. Each night as I go to bed I tell the Lord that I am at His feet. His comfort just covers me and I am once again swaddled in His presence.
Here are some prayers of Intimacy with God.
Please Pray with me
Thank You, Father, that you love me.
Lord, draw me close to you. I long to see your face and hear your voice.
Father, give me dreams that call me to your side.
God, let me feel your heart for myself and for others.
Let me see what you see in the people I meet.
You are all I want. Help me know you are near.
Then just be silent before Him. Listen for His whispers. Think of your love for Him.
Spiritual Warfare Praying against God’s enemies
2 Corinthians 10:4
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,”
Spiritual warfare are the battles we face with the devil, the world, and our old sinful nature. God is calling together an army to fight for His will and His ways. He is providing us with weapons that are mighty. We have witnessed the battle of a praying army during our recent election. Thank you , Lord.
What are our weapons of warfare? There are at least 5 weapons of warfare. They are:
1. Worship is the 1st weapon of warfare.
Praise Expressing Love for God
Psalm 98:4
“ Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.”
Psalm 34:1
“ I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Praising God makes the devil flee. Satan cannot endure the spiritual songs of the saints. You can fight him with song.
In the Old Testament, the wall of Jericho fell when the people shouted to the Lord. When the people worshipped, Israel won battles. When David worshipped, Saul’s demons were calm.
Worship is a weapon against our enemies.
Praise God with me.
I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Ps 34:1)
For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised.
Bless the Lord, Oh My soul! And all that is within me, bless His holy name! (Ps 103:1)
Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. (Ps 100:2)
Let all things praise the Lord. (Ps 150)
2. Prayer is the 2nd weapon of warfare.
In Matthew 16:19 Jesus said,
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Binding and Loosing work in many ways. We can bind up the work of the enemy and loose the work of the Holy Spirit. You can also bind the ways of God to your life and loose the strongholds of the enemy away from you. Which ever way you use the binding and loosing, the importance is that you have the authority to do so. God has given you the keys. He will back up what you call for.
Here are some examples for binding and loosing prayers. Please Pray with me.
Thank You, Lord, for the keys of the kingdom.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind up the stronghold of fear and I loose the spirit of peace in our lives.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I loose doubt from my life and bind the spirit of faith to my life.
I bind the mind of Christ to my mind and I loose all thoughts from the enemy away from my mind.
I bind up the strong man (Satan) and I loose his hold upon stolen possessions.
I loose all bitterness and resentment from my life and bind forgiveness and love to my life.
In Jesus name I pray.
A 3rd weapon is the
3. Word of God
Hebrews 4:12
“ For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit, an offensive weapon against the works of the enemy.
Spiritually and practically, a declaration is taking God’s words and speaking them out.
Isaiah 55:10-11
“ For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Our words and faith must be aligned to the Word of God.
The Words of God in your mouth, when spoken in faith, are just as creative and powerful as God’s words coming out of His mouth.
They are His words.
When your words are God’s words they do not return to you unsuccessful.
Cindy Jacobs says that the use of scripture spoken out loud actually releases the creative power of God’s Word.
It is alive and powerful. Like a sword, it cuts to pieces man’s reasoning and releases the Spirit of Truth. It is supernatural.
What we are to declare is God’s Word and His promises over our lives. It is our kingdom duty to declare God’s promises in the earth.
We are to be His loyal agents who declare on earth what the Father has already established in heaven.
He wants to use your voice and tongue to speak His words over situations. He uses people to speak forth God’s divine commands.
Today all who follow Jesus and are ready to exercise Kingdom Authority have available to them the power and the right to issue a declaration.
God uses ordinary people to speak extraordinary things.
When believers align their words to God’s promises those words will not fail.
The power to declare is a biblical right, an inheritance and a privilege for all believers.
His words are eternal.
His words are irrevocable.
Once God speaks, it is done.
He never goes back on His Word.
Psalms 89:34
“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.”
Our words should always align with His Word.
We are to come into total agreement with God’s Word.
Walking in obedience to God’s Word and doing His will is the proper alignment.
Walking with God is a way of life and it is a choice.
Speak boldly the Word of God.
The more I pray Bible passages, the more my faith increases to receive them. The enemy wants us to stay silent, but the Lord wants us to speak out with confidence.
God desires for us to PRAY His promises daily over our lives by faith until we align and agree with them and until they manifest.
Here are some examples of prayers of Declaring.
Pray with me.
Thank You, God, for Your Word.
I declare that my head is anointed with God’s oil and my cup runs over; goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life.
I declare that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
I declare that thou, O Lord, art a shield about me; you are my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3)
I declare that God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
I declare that God hath not given me a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
(II Timothy 1:7)
I declare that He heals my broken heart and binds up my wounds. (Psalms 147:3)
I declare that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
I declare that Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105)
I declare that You shall heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed. (Jeremiah 17:14)
For You, O Lord, are mighty and powerful.
Amen.
The 4th spiritual weapon is
4. Fasting
Fasting Praying with personal sacrifice
Joel 2:12
“Now, therefore,” says the Lord,“Turn to Me with all your heart,With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
Fasting intensifies your prayers.
Matt 6: 16-18
“Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
The Lord said “when you fast” not “If you fast”. He expects us to fast. He expects us to feel deeply about the things for which we pray. We are to emphasize our prayers of importance. When you are fasting, you are putting your whole self into your prayers.
Jesus himself fasted and prayed for 40 days before beginning his ministry. He was humbling himself before His Father. Jesus is our example. We too can humble ourselves before God with fasting and prayer.
There are many purposes of Fasting:
· To humble yourself
· To come closer to God
· To understand God’s Word more clearly
· To find God’s will
· To receive direction
· To seek healing
· To seek deliverance from evil spirits
· To seek God’s intervention in crisis
· To intercede for others
There are also many ways to fast.
The details of your fast are not as important as your heart’s desire to satisfy God with your worship and sacrifice.
And the 5th spiritual weapon is
5. Praying in the Spirit
Praying in the Spirit Praying in tongues
Letting The Holy Spirit pray with your lips
When I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, God gave me the blessing of speaking in tongues. Over the years I have learned to pray in the spirit. I mean praying in tongues or as some people call it, MY Prayer Language.
1 Corinthians 14:14
“For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.”
In other words, The Holy Spirit is doing the praying. When I don’t know how to pray in a situation, I pray in the spirit. I let the Holy Spirit pray for me. The Holy Spirit always knows how to pray in any circumstance. I know that I am praying with the Lord and not against the Lord when I pray in the spirit.
At times I will get a feeling that something is not right. Something is wrong. I know that I am supposed to pray but I don’t know why or for what. I explain it to my husband, a SCI FI loving person as “there is a disturbance in the force”. When I get this urge to pray, I pray in the spirit. Sometimes the prayer comes out very intense. Sometimes the prayer is of normal intensity. Perhaps someone is in danger, Perhaps there is no one else who can pray for the situation. God is asking me to pray. I just keep praying until the burden leaves.
During my prayer time when I don’t know what to start praying about first, I will pray in the spirit. Soon the Lord puts thoughts in my head and I will pray about those things. The Holy Spirit is directing my prayer.
1 Corinthians 14:4
“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.”
It is a special blessing that when we pray in tongues, the side effect is that God builds us up. He strengthens us. Praise God.
Ephesians 6:18
“ praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,”
Your prayer language is weapon of spiritual warfare. Remember the Holy Spirit who is doing the praying always knows exactly how to pray. If you are ever in danger, Pray in the spirit.
Let’s review for a minute:
Spiritual warfare is an ongoing battle that involves all believers day in and day out. It is a way of life for God’s people.
Spiritual weapons are provided by the Lord to demolish strongholds.
1. Worship
2. Prayer - binding and loosing
3. The Word of God
4. Fasting
5. Praying in the Spirit.
Another kind of prayer is
Prophetic Prayer Praying what God is saying to you
1 Corinthians 14:31
“For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.”
Here are some examples of Prophetic Prayer: Pray with me.
Thank You, Lord, for speaking to us.
Father, I ask you to strengthen your people. Help them to stand against the difficult times that are ahead. Let them shine forth as examples of your great mercy.
Lord, bring forth your warring angels across this earth to prepare the way for your coming.
Holy Spirit, guide our every step, choose our every word, direct our every sight that the Father may be glorified.
May your very character, your presence and your love spread through out this world bringing you Glory forever.
Amen
Travail Praying with strong intensity
Often NO WORDS
Romans 8:26
“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
I have had travail come upon me a couple of times.
It is an experience similar to pre child birth, thus the term travail.
Another kind of prayer is
Decreeing Praying an official order with legal authority
Psalm 148:6
“He also established them forever and ever;He made a decree which shall not pass away.”
About 6 years ago I read the book, PRAYER, by Dr. Myles Munroe. He taught me something that I did not understand before I read his book.
A decree is an official order that is issued by a legal authority. It is an executive order, or a final verdict in a trial. It is a court order that is binding.
As the King, Ruler & Creator of the Universe, God’s first decree was what He spoke in the beginning.
In Genesis 1:3
“God said, ‘Let there be light, and there was light.”
When God makes decrees, the natural realm obeys. God’s words create. God used words to create what He conceived in His thoughts.
The Creator uses only words to create or form something into being.
Now lets go to Genesis 1:26-28
“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; LET THEM HAVE DOMINION over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them”
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”
God gave us the earth and the task of having dominion over it. He gave us the authority to subdue it. When the Lord created mankind, He gave us dominion over His creative works in the earth and placed everything under our authority, under our feet.
God always stands by His Word and always keeps His promises. Our loving and faithful Father God does not give kingdom authority and then capriciously take it away. God has placed His Word above even Himself. God will never violate or break His Word.
Psalms 138:2
“For You have magnified Your Word above all Your name.”
The Word of God is not just the law for man. Every word God speaks is also a law to Himself. He subjects Himself to His promises and decrees because of His integrity.
Psalms 119: 89-90
“Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in Heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations.
Once God speaks, it is done. He never goes back on His Word.
Psalms 89:34
“My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of my lips.”
Luke 21:33
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
So…..
The legal authority on earth is in the hands of humans. The Creator, because of His integrity will not violate the law of His Word. Nothing will happen in the earth realm without the permission of man, who is its legal authority. God and the heavenly beings cannot interfere in the earth without the cooperation or permission of mankind. God must obtain the agreement and cooperation of a person for whatever He desires to do in the earth.
Praying is man giving God the legal right and permission to interfere in earth’s affair. John Wesley said, “God does nothing but in answer to prayer”. In other words, if we don’t pray, God can’t help us. When we pray we are opening the door for God to enter the situation. When we don’t pray, we are leaving God out of the equation.
God has always worked through Men.
In the flood God needed Noah
To create a nation He needed Abraham
To lead Israel God needed Moses
To bring back Israel from captivity He needed Daniel
To defeat Jericho God needed Joshua
For preservation of the Hebrews He needed Esther
So, God can not intervene in our lives until we invite Him to intervene,
If God is waiting for us, what are we waiting for. If God shows us a problem, He is requesting permission to do something about the problem. PRAY !!!
Don’t complain, Ask God to help.
Don’t grumble, Request God’s assistance.
Don’t gossip, Bless the situation
Don’t worry, Trust in the Lord
All change in this world begins with our compassion, with our love, with our concern, with our kindness, with our actions. PRAY !!
All healing needs to be requested.
All relationships need to be prayed over.
All finances need to be asked for.
All children need to be covered in prayer.
All families need to be praying for each other.
There are so many terrible problems in this earth, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. If you are thinking about a problem, PRAY!
We are to become gatekeepers and watchmen through prayer to guard and protect what God has given us stewardship over. Pray with me.
Thank You for the authority You have given us.
I decree (or pray) that the people of the church will remain faithful to God in the midst of opposition.
I decree that the Lord is watching over my city.
I decree that my children shall be taught of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
I decree that God will supply all my needs through Christ Jesus.
I decree that the purposes of God be fulfilled in the United States of America
I decree that the Holy Spirit is now supervising a new movement of awesome revival.
I decree that the Church is awakening.
I decree that the Father’s Heart is a house of prayer.
I decree a reversal of the plans of Hell for this nation.
I declare that you are God of All. Mighty & Powerful.
Amen.
