His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
God has given us all we need to live a life holy and consecrated unto Him. He has given us His divine power. He lives within us. Stop and think about that for a moment. The God of all creation who has created all things out of nothing by His spoken word lives within you and I.
On a daily basis we need to seek the Lord for greater understanding of who He is and how this applies to our lives on a daily basis. He is holy and therefore as His sons and daughters called by Him, we are called to be holy. Not walking in holiness in our own strength. For when we rely upon ourselves, we will fail miserably. But relying fully on His grace for all things. This is the only way the holiness in our lives is possible.
It says through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. It is God who calls us. We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free. When our priority and aim on a daily basis becomes knowing Him more, this is where true life transformation takes place. You may be reading this right now and struggling in an area of life. The key to overcoming temptation is not mustering more strength in yourself, it is coming to know Him more intimately through prayer, His word, and time spent in His presence.
Prayer
Father help me to know you more. Help me with every trial and temptation I face. Delivery me from every scheme and purpose of the enemy. Father help me to glorify you in every area of my life. Take my life and use it for your glory and purpose. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
